It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane… It’s Super-squirrel! (and a bird)
It’s going to be a short one today I think. I am a little tired from walking downtown and back, about 4 hours round-trip it ended up being. I had to go get a haircut and some currency exchanged and I figured I would bring my camera along just in case. I wasn’t in a photo snapping mood on the way there or around town and so the camera stayed in the bag, but on the way home I decided to take the back paths through the woods. It was a great afternoon with the snow on the ground and it was so quiet, except for all the birds chirping. I figured this would be a good chance to try out my Sigma 55-200mm f4-5.6 lens for the first time and would try to capture some nature shots. It was a little difficult as the crunching snow under my feet would alert my subjects of my arrival. This was my first time using the lens, as well as my first wildlife attempt, and so all things considered I think I did well. There were quite a few duds, but here are a couple of ones that turned out.
The squirrel and I had some fun…
This may be my last post for quite a few days as we are heading to Prague around noon on Wednesday. Woot! We will be spending four nights in the city and are really looking forward to it. I think we have internet in our room at the hotel, but I don’t know how good it will be or if it will be free. If it is usable then I may try to do a post from Prague (which would be really cool), but otherwise you can look forward to some pictures when we get back on Sunday night!
